BRONZ3 is the parent company of Hotrod Riley studio, and is the heartbeat behind the art Riley Penna Sr. creates. It is family owned and born from a desire to show humanity the character of a loving God who is the supreme artist of all things. Much like this old car that has been loved by an artist in its broken, rusted, tired and mistreated state, God loves us exactly as we are…broken, rusted and worn from the dirt ROADs of life and human relationships.

Riley is a christian artist at heart, and loves God with all his heart, mind and body. He is a restored angry alcoholic who, even through religion could not see the design of the loving artist at work in all things. And that he was loved by God and could be restored, given new life through Jesus his son who he sent into this dark world to create a beautiful Hod Rod masterpiece of him. Still a broken down old car at times, but restored by God with a new motor, fresh paint and clear coat as he waits for the new garage God is preparing us for in eternity!

Religion throughout the ages has often portrayed God in a way that is contrary to who He really is. To many, He is a distant figure largely unavailable and uninterested in us unless we are doing things to appease Him and living a life that deserves His attention. We are polishing ourselves, working on an engine we know nothing about, and striving to be a Hot Rod so that He will fall in love with us. Religion rarely teaches that God loves us like we love an old “barn find” that no one else loves. He loves us in THAT condition, and is dying (literally) for us to accept that we are loved in this condition, and are excited to live in His garage where he restores, re-paints and gives us hope of getting back on Highway 66 once again! Much like Hotrodding…life is a journey, and not a destination. When we accept His love and hop on the trailer headed for his amazing Paint Shop, We begin the journey religion knows little about.

In every line, color, flame and design, Hotrod Riley art is an attempt to demonstrate this process of God in a world that is in the process of being restored! God demonstrates his love for us, in that we are yet broke, Jesus his son died for us. In God’s mind we are already a Hotrod! He sees that in us while we are yet broken, and has great plans for us. While painting and designing, Hotrod Riley is worshiping God and designing something beautiful in the same way God created the flowers, stars, the human eyeball and every beautiful thing surrounding us.

Hotrod Riley art though it pales in comparison to what the Supreme Artist can do, is a heart felt attempt to demonstrate to others the love of a God that religion has failed to describe.
